my VIRTUAL PHOTO EXHIBITION

ABOUT “my VIRTUAL PHOTO EXHIBITION”:

It all started with the simple need to find a way for exhibiting  some of my work. Initially, I have tried to avoid thinking about it but as the same idea kept coming back to me I had to deal with it.

What you see here is my inital respond. No written blueprint, no research. I am just following the moments of creative insights as they arrive. Hands on approach. It is work in progress and some or all of the aspects of this project will change.

So, this is where  “my VIRTUAL PHOTO EXHIBITION ” idea starts to see the light of the day…

ABOUT “QUINTESSENTIAL LANDSCAPE”:

There is some quality or qualities that permeates all  Nature and forms the substance of all things. The essence which is present in the raw landscape beyond the limits of what we can see. My attraction and desire to find and capture that force is strong and motivating. The Quintessential Landscape is out there,  waiting to be discovered.

It is lack of our ability to see what is in front of us that is a real challenge. Our perception relays on our memory. It is easier to see what we know, what is already stored in our memory.

My challenge as photographer is to photograph what is beyond the limits of what I see and  what I know.

Selection for this Virtual Photo Exhibition is no accident. These are the photographs that captured my attention amongst my recent works. All of them  have a hint of “that something” I am searching for in the landscape. If I had more time the end result would probably be different … So, this is my current choice which marks the start of my search for  the “Quintessential Landscape”…
