It was a miserable rainy morning on the Noosa Beach … but what do you know, turns out it was perfect weather for some Black and White photography.

That is indeed a great B & W shot! What is “sand extraction”? That’s something I’m not familiar with.

Recent big seas (cyclone weather)with high tides and change in the flow of local currents has caused erosion on the beach. Noosa Beach is hot tourist destination and having exposed underlying rocks is not something visitors are looking forward to. As a temporary solution to the problem the sand is pumped out from the depths of the beach and latter redistributed to parts of the beach that need help the most. Nature obviously has the other ideas.
