SS Dicky © Robert Burcul

“S.S. Dicky”, carrying 11 crew and 40 tonnes of sand, was forced onto the beach during heavy seas in 1893. Attempts to refloat the ship were unsuccessful. A memorial stands in the park at Dicky Beach near the caravan park. – excerpt from www.caloundratourism.com.au

  1. Really, your photos are gorgeous captures, Robert.

I simply love this capture of the ship ruins… almost as if in silence in the reflective calm waters and soft ethereal skies.

  2. Thank you Anna , I love this one too…
