According to my research this is the photo of adult male bird known as Superb Fairy Wren ( Malurus Cyaneus) .
It is also one of my first attempts in the area of the bird photography and I am quickly developing a huge respect for all those wildlife bird photographers out there . This small creatures are so hard to photograph, difficult to approach and to convince them to stay still for a longer than a fraction of a second is almost impossible task. Grown male has stunning neon blue feathers on his head and tail. Before I new it he turned his back to me and flew away. Probably because I have blinded him with a flash, which is not a nice thing to do … in the future I will look for a good natural lighting and will imploy a different tactic which requires me to hide somewhere. I will sprinkle some tasty seeds around chosen location and let him fly to me instead. If my new method does not work I can always go back to my slow peace landscape photography or maybe photograph some of the friendly (hungry)seagulls.
